Teaser Tuesday (February 23rd)

teaser-tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along, just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here’s mine for this week (the cover links to the Goodreads page).

The holiday my father had promised wasn’t a holiday. There were no beaches or sandcastles, no ice creams, no donkey rides; my father said we would rest when we got to die Hütte.

  1. A fake holiday and German? Sounds like fun!

The teaser made me wonder what the vacation really is… And I love it when the author uses a different language in their prose. I will have to add it to my TBR.

Happy reading! Here’s mine of Mr. Kiss And Tell by Rob Thomas.

  3. This is an intriguing title and the teaser is definitiely interesting… Are you enjoying it? This is my TT this week… https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/02/23/teaser-tuesday-23rd-february-2016/

    • I haven’t got very far through yet, but I am so far! It seems a little bit different, and I’m intrigued to know where it’ll all end up…Thanks for visiting! 🙂

  4. I wonder what this father is up to. Doesn’t sound good (but it sounds like a good book!)
My Tuesday post features ROUND THE BEND.
